Home to the colourful world of rare poultry near Ludlow,
Shropshire.
The collection is an internationally acclaimed conservation
centre, providing a vital gene pool for rare and traditional
breeds of chicken.
The owners, Sue and Shaun Hammon will be happy to
share their enthusiasm for chickens with you.
Following Shaun's successful knee operation in February 2007 all retirement plans have been shelved for the future. We still enjoy the challenge of breeding & selling these fascinating old breeds & hope to continue for many years to come. Every year over 15,000 rare & traditional chicks are hatched at the Wernlas Collection with stock of all ages being delivered the length & breadth of the U.K. & hatching eggs go to various destinations between the Shetland & Falkland Islands!
